Plastic Surgery Recovery Therapist Directories
While there are currently no formal directories for qualified, licensed professional therapists who specialize in plastic surgery recovery, you can find them if you know where to look.
Below are several online directories of Certified Lymphedema Therapists (CLT) from several schools and organizations as well as an Instagram directory of therapists who are either CLT’s (minimum 135 hours of training) or are at least Manual Lymphatic Drainage Certified (minimum 40 hours of training). These hours are on top of many hundreds of hours of training for licensure in their respective disciplines.
While not all of the therapists listed in these directories work on people who are recovering from plastic surgery, many do. It is in these pages that you will find the most qualified therapists available. Therapists who work independently in their own practices are your best bet. Therapists who work at hospitals likely do not see anyone outside of lymphedema patients.
Lymphology Association of North America (LANA)
LANA Certified Lymphedema Therapists (CLT-LANA) possess the highest possible level of certification available in the discipline of lymphatic therapy. These therapists have proven their outstanding level of knowledge by passing a very difficult exam that requires extensive anatomy and physiology knowledge of the lymphatic system which typically exceeds the knowledge level of most physicians. (Most physicians only receive an hour or two lecture on the lymphatic system in their entire medical training.)

KLOSE Training is a school that trains therapists in lymphedema therapy. Graduates are either Certified Lymphedema Therapists (CLT’s) with 135 hours or are certified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) Therapists with 40 hours of training. They keep an active directory of their therapists around the world.

Norton School of Lymphatic Therapy trains therapists in lymphedema therapy. Graduates are either Certified Lymphedema Therapists (CLT’s) with 135 hours or are certified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) Therapists with 40 hours of training. Their directory is not public, but you can fill out a quick form and request that they send you a list of their therapists in your area.
